Alain ROBERT comes from a genuine Parisian family implanted in the
Quartier Latin. His father who was an artisan specialized in photography,
gave him his first camera when he was twelve.. During 40 years, ROBERT worked with equipment and supplies for photo
and media services as well as for conservation departments of large concerns
and administrative bodies, while exercising his profession as a photographer.

From 1968 onwards,he then began taking pictures of Johnny as a fan-club
photographer until 1998. Then in 1976, at the age of 29 ans, he took night courses at the renowned
Louis LumièrePhoto Academy in Paris.

after which he took part in a photo exhibition at the Entrepôts Ferré in
Bordeaux in 1978, organised under the auspices of Jacques Chaban-Delmas, Deputy Mayor.
During 30 ans, he acted as tour photographer for the star, in particular, when in 1979,
for the very first time, a huge show with a performer was held and televized by Channel 1. Jean Yves Billet, manager for Johnny at Universal, chose Alain
Robert as photographer. A limited record series was then published : "les Rocks de Bercy " in 1992, followed by « Guitare collectors » . A record kit pack shaped as a

was later produced : these last two editions reuniting all the first original 45's by Johnny Hallyday. Since 1970, Alain ROBERT has collected an important number of momentoes and
photos of the star from his tours, television performances and concerts up to 1998.
Currently, he is active as photographer for important Parisian and international events,
in particular for the Agency : « Pour vous, les princes » run by Thierry Prouvost
and Jean Julien
